Uncompromising game console
Gameplay on the NEOGEO AES+ is not achieved through emulation – instead, the console is powered by its legacy ASIC chips, which have been redesigned to modern standards to accurately replicate the hardware and software of the original machine. The system plays native game software from both new and old game cartridges for the most authentic retro gaming experience. No emulation, no FPGA approach, but a true reincarnation of the console, re-engraved in silicon.

While retaining the original look and feel, the NEOGEO AES+ implements modern user-friendly features, such as a low-latency HDMI display output (while also retaining the original AV output for CRT enthusiasts), DIP switches for language selection, overclocking, and various display modes, and the ability to save permanent high scores (memory card accessory required).

The NEOGEO AES+ comes with the iconic Arcade Stick (wired), a 1:1 replica of the original joystick designed as an exact copy of the control panel on the legendary MVS arcade cabinets from SNK. The Arcade Stick is designed for the NEOGEO AES+ and connects directly to the console via the classic 15-pin connector (making it backward compatible with the original consoles from the 90s and the original Arcade Sticks from the 90s forward compatible with the NEOGEO AES+) for an unparalleled home arcade experience.
